At Comprehensive Laser & Aesthetics, we treat a wide variety of skin conditions with treatments designed to rejuvenate and enhance your skin health, quality, tone, and youthfulness.
Active Acne
Active acne is the most common skin condition experienced by people in their teens and through adulthood. Acne can be caused by hormonal changes, stress, or foods that trigger breakouts. In essence, acne is an infection in your pores that causes swelling, infection, and inflammation. Treatments that we provide for active acne include:
- Aerolase
- ZO Skin Health
- VI Peel
- Acne extractions
Acne Scars
Acne scars are a common skin problem for those who have struggled with acne breakouts. The scars may appear as uneven skin texture, or as pits on the skin. These scars can make your skin look and feel rough long after the acne has healed. Treatments that we offer for acne scar removal include laser and microneedling treatments. Our Aerolase and Picoway laser treatment can be customized to your skin to soften the appearance of acne scars and to enhance your complexion. Our Vivace microneedling treatment will stimulate collagen production and healing in your skin to create smoother, healthier, more beautiful skin.
Pseudofolliculitis barbae
Pseudofolliculitis barbae is a skin condition caused by hairs becoming ingrown after shaving – or “razor bumps.” It is particularly common in African-American men and people with curly hair. It typically occurs in the beard area of the face and neck. The condition arises as curled hairs grow into the skin instead of out, causing bumps and inflammation. We use laser hair removal to treat pseudofolliculitis barbae and prevent the hairs from growing incorrectly into the skin. Our laser hair removal treatments that we provide for this condition include:
- Candela GMP
- Motus Ax
- Aerolase
Hidradenitis suppurativa, PCOS
Hidradenitis suppurativa, or HS, is a disease of the skin that affects the hair follicles, particularly in the armpits and groin. Chronic inflammation and red abscesses characterize this uncomfortable condition. These abscesses can sometimes affect the hair follicles found on the buttocks or scalp or larger areas and drain pus and lead to skin scars. PCOS, or polycystic ovary syndrome, a common hormonal disorder in women, has been linked to HS. Laser hair removal is a successful treatment of HS and symptoms of hair growth associated with PCOS.
Fine lines and wrinkles
As we age, our skin produces less and less collagen, elastin, and other compounds that keep our skin feeling firm and looking vibrant. For fine lines and wrinkles, we offer an array of treatments that are designed to boost your collagen production, refresh your complexion, and soften wrinkles. Treatments we offer include:
- Dysport, a neurotoxin that softens wrinkles by relaxing underlying facial muscles. This treatment can also slow the development of wrinkles in the future.
- Vivace, a microneedling treatment that stimulates collagen production and healing in your skin.
- Aerolase, a laser skin treatment that stimulates collagen production for brighter, more youthful skin.
Pore reduction
Pores often become enlarged as we age and as our skin experiences external stresses. The pores can become so large it is difficult to camouflage with cosmetics. We provide Aerolase and Vivace treatments to refresh and tighten dull skin and enlarged pores. These treatments stimulate the skin’s natural healing response to tighten pores and increase overall skin quality.
Surgical scars
Surgical scars can be a source of embarrassment. Our Aerolase and Vivace treatments help your skin to become smoother, reducing the appearance of a surgical scar. Laser skin treatments such as Aerolase cause the upper layer of skin to shed be restored with healthy, fresh skin cells. Vivace microneedling stimulates your skin to heal from within, smoothing facial scars, so they become far less visible.
Spider veins on legs, face, and body
Spider veins are small blood vessels just below the skin’s surface that have broken or widened and weakened. Spider veins can be visible on fair-skinned people as purplish or red lines on the skin. They are more of a cosmetic nuisance than anything else, but thankfully, they can be easily treated with our laser therapies, such as Candela or Aerolase.
Medical grade chemical peels
For rough skin, dull complexions, or other skin issues, medical-grade chemical peels can dramatically revitalize and enhance your skin. Chemical peels that we offer include VI Peel and ZO Stim Peel, which remove the build-up of dull surface skin cells to reveal fresh, glowing, healthy skin that is smoother, fresh, soft, and supple.
Hair loss in men and women
Hair loss is a frightening condition affecting both men and women. Your hair may become thinner, sparse, or your hairline may begin to recede. The earlier the signs of hair loss are noticed and acted upon, the better! We offer hair restoration treatments with PRP (platelet rich plasma) to rejuvenate dying hair follicles so they can once again produce healthy strands of hair.
Skin rejuvenation
Rejuvenating skin is one of our specialties. We have a wide range of treatments that can be used together, or on their own to restore radiant, rejuvenated looking skin. These treatments include:
- Vivace RF microneedling
- Neurotoxins such as BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin
- Aerolase
- ZO anti-aging system
- Dermaplaning
Laser tattoo removal
Laser technology has advanced to the point where every pigment in your tattoo can be targeted and destroyed. With lasers like Picoway, once the dyes are broken up by the laser, your body will flush them from your skin and out of your body. The Quanta Q-Plus C Laser uses three wavelengths to target the three primary color groups, at the specific depths that they settle into your skin, for incredible results with laser tattoo removal.
Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation can appear in many forms, such as age spots, sun spots, or melasma. Hyperpigmentation in the skin can be successfully treated by stimulating healing and removing the upper layer of skin with treatments such as Aerolase, Picoway, and Vivace. Your results can be enhanced by treating your skin with the best skin products such as ZO skin health to promote evenly toned, supple, healthy skin.
Stretch marks
Stretch marks are one of the most common types of scar. Many people develop them at puberty, due to weight gain, or during pregnancy, and they can be a source of embarrassment. We treat stretch marks with Vivace RF microneedling or Aerolase laser therapy to diminish the appearance of stretch marks.
